Example of Impact
Through a coaching cycle focused on phonics instruction, a first-grade team used the Core Phonics Survey Assessment & Data Sheet and the First Grade Data Grouping System to analyze student data, identify gaps in foundational skills, and refine small group instruction. Over six weeks, students demonstrated increased mastery of targeted skills, while teachers gained clarity and confidence in differentiating instruction to meet student needs. Teachers also developed a stronger, more consistent approach to using data to guide instruction and form targeted, responsive groups.
